Buying and selling
On the track, buying a coin is pressing its lane. The lane opens its ticket; Derby builds the transaction, your wallet signs it, and the trade moves the lane the moment it lands.
Signing in
Derby works with the Wallet Standard wallets in your browser: Phantom, Solflare, Backpack and the others. Signing in is one signed message (Sign In With Solana) that ties this browser to your address; it approves no transaction.
From the lane
Press a lane to open its buy ticket beside the track. Shift-press it, press it with the other mouse button, or hold it on a touch screen to open the sell side. Hovering a lane shows its position, speed, place, price, market cap, holders and the last day's volume. The name opens the launch's own page, where the same ticket sits beside its chart, trades and holders.
The ticket
Type an amount or pick one: 0.1, 0.5, 1 or 5 SOL on the buy side, a quarter, half or all of what you hold on the sell side. Before you sign, the ticket shows what you get, the fee that applies right now, and how far the trade moves the lane, for example 32.40 → 36.21 of 85 SOL. A buy bigger than what is left to the finish fills the curve: it takes what it needs, and the ticket says that this buy crosses the line.
Every trade carries a 3% slippage limit, set from the engine's own quote when it builds the transaction.
Fees
The trading fee is 1.75%. At a launch's opening second it is 25%, falling to 1.75% over 5 seconds, so the first blocks are expensive to snipe. The creator's first buy, inside the creating transaction, pays 1.75%.

Signing and landing
Derby builds every transaction, simulates it, and hands it to your wallet to sign. When the signed copy comes back, Derby checks it is the transaction it built (wallets that append their own guard instructions, as Phantom does, are accepted), sends it, and settles it against the chain. The ticket follows each stage: building, signing in your wallet, sending, waiting for the chain. When it lands, the lane moves as the stream brings the trade in.
